So, what’s here?

Kaeli’s Space is a repository of things I find amusing, helpful, or just plain interesting. I’m a computer nerd and I love animals, so most of what you find here will be related in some way to one or the other. Since this is my space, though, sometimes I decide to post jokes or amusing pictures, too. I love music, so if I find interesting MP3s, I might link to them.

I do various I.T. tasks at work, including coding, and I even freelance once in a blue moon, so you’ll find related items here. Tips, tricks, code snippets, and the like. I have a B.S. in computer science, but ended up doing applications programming instead of systems programming. Life’s funny that way. So if I had to look it up, or someone asked me the question, and I think other people might want to know the answer, I put it up here.

Animals are my first love, so I’m gradually accruing some articles on animal behavior, training, and care as well. I’ve spent most of my life reading and learning about animals and how to train them, and often have people ask me if I’m a trainer. The answer to that question is yes, I train my own animals. I can help you train yours, but I won’t train them for you. You have to train your own pets or anything someone else does just isn’t going to stick. Pet training is as much about training the humans as training the animals.

P.S. ‘Kaeli’ has been my alter-ego, pen name, and posting name since I first chose a username on the first Usenet group I ever joined, so many years ago. Back before anyone used their real name for anything online. As such, she’s been through a lot, and she represents a lot of years of experience, joy, pain, and fun times. The name of this site is a tribute to all of that.
